Knitting workshop in Italy

I have been lucky enough to be asked to host a knitting retreat in May next year, so, if you fancy a relaxing knitting holiday in Italy,
the details are below

“Knitting and La Bella Vita”
headpic-mill-venue3[1]
A wonderfully relaxing knitting holiday in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, with leisurely knitting days, spectacular scenery, wonderful food and wine – and learning new skills with Rowan designer
Sarah Hatton
Saturday 21 to Saturday 28 May 2016

During your week you’ll learn professional finishing tips and techniques, taking your knitting from ‘homemade’ to ‘handmade.’ There will be two special projects during the week, working on a lace scarf and a cable classic Aran project, easing your way into working cables. You’ll have the perfect opportunity to make new friends in the company of like-minded people and enjoying the true, unspoilt Italian Bella Vita.

As well as workshops at the mill, you’ll be working at a cloistered ex-monastery and in the grounds of a fabulous hill-top restaurant (where we’ll be served a gourmet lunch). You’ll enjoy cocktails and mouth-watering meals at the mill itself, as well as at local restaurants and ice-cream parlours — and you’ll be treated to an all-day excursion to the beautiful fishing villages of the Cinque Terre and to a morning’s ramblings through the market at the nearby walled Medieval town of Fivizzano. You‘ll also have time to sit and relax in the mill’s gardens, walk along the millstream and listen to the river.
